Introduction
The tertiary building stock is characterized by a very heterogeneous structure, housing activities that differ considerably in nature from one sector to another. These various buildings can be classified according to the following eight (8) sectors of activity:
- Hospitality and related activities
- Health (hospitals, clinics, medical centers, etc.)
- Education (higher, secondary, basic, and vocational) and related activities, including accommodation, university catering, research centers, etc.)
- Office buildings, both public and private
- Commerce, including cold storage
- Sports and leisure
- Culture and religion
- Miscellaneous
Each sector is distinguished by buildings whose spatial configuration and energy needs correspond to the nature of the activities specific to the sub-sector concerned within that sector.
Energy consumption in tertiary sector buildings tends to increase year after year. Just as for residential buildings, ANME has implemented planned energy audit programs for buildings under construction and energy audits for existing buildings.
ANME, through the FTE, also carries out support actions for tertiary companies in the study and implementation of cogeneration projects to optimize their energy consumption. It also assists them in the Energy Management System (EnMS) certification process according to the ISO 50001 standard, as well as the building labeling according to the Tunisian EcoBât Label.
